PHOSCRETE SHOTPUMP GRANT OFFICIAL RULES

1. Grant Overview

First Place Grant Award: Phoscrete ShotPump with consumables kit, free shipping, and up to 3 days of on-site operations training. (Approximate Retail Value: $20,000)

 

Runner-Up Grant Award: Two-week rental of the Phoscrete ShotPump with consumables kit, free shipping and return, and up to 3 days of on-site operations training. (Approximate Retail Value: $2,500)

2. Eligibility

Eligible Entities

Open to the following public infrastructure agencies within the United States:

  • Federal, State, and Local Government Agencies: Departments and divisions responsible for public infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and public buildings.
  • Municipal and County Governments: Cities, towns, and counties managing local infrastructure projects.
  • Transit Authorities: Including airports, ports, rail systems, and tollway authorities.
  • Public School Districts and Educational Institutions: Managing infrastructure for public schools, colleges, and universities.
  • Public Utility Companies: Water, wastewater, electric, and gas utilities owned or operated by government entities.
  • Regional Planning Commissions and Councils: Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) and Councils of Governments (COGs) involved in regional infrastructure planning and projects.
  • Special Districts: Fire protection, flood control, transit districts, and other entities managing specific infrastructure services.
  • Public Housing Authorities
  • Public Health Agencies
  • Tribal Governments and Native American Lands
  • Territorial Governments
  • Nonprofit Organizations: Contracted by government entities to manage public infrastructure projects.
  • Public-Private Partnerships (P3s): Joint entities involved in public infrastructure development (subject to verification)

 

Purchase Requirements

  • Must purchase a minimum of 3 pallets of Phoscrete MPC formulas by January 10, 2025.
  • Important Note: Not all Phoscrete MPC products are compatible with the ShotPump. Specifically, Phoscrete F1-HC is not compatible with the ShotPump. Compatible products include Phoscrete F3-VO for spraying applications and Phoscrete F3-HC for pumping applications. Participants may need to purchase additional compatible materials for their projects.

 

Geographic Scope

  • Projects outside the continental USA, including U.S. territories, are eligible but must cover shipping and travel expenses.

 

Eligibility at Phoscrete's Sole Discretion

  • Phoscrete reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine eligibility and to accept or reject any application without providing reasons.
  • To confirm your eligibility in advance, please submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) as outlined in Section 3.

3. How to Apply

Step 1: Submit an Expression of Interest Form (EOI) by December 20, 2024.

  1. Agency Information: Name, address, and primary contact details.
  2. Project Summary: A brief description of the proposed infrastructure project and its objectives.
  3. Material Purchase Confirmation: Confirmation of purchase or intent to purchase the required Phoscrete materials.
  4. Acknowledgement of Eligibility Criteria: Confirmation that the agency meets the eligibility requirements.

 

Step 2: Eligibility Confirmation

  • Phoscrete will review all EOIs
  • Agencies will be notified within 3 working days of receipt of EOI and eligible agencies will be invited to submit a full application.

 

Step 3: Submit a Purchase Order for Phoscrete MPC by January 10, 2025.

 

Step 4: Submit a Full Project Work Plan by January 20, 2025.

  • Eligible agencies will receive the full application details upon approval of their EOI.
  • Submit the detailed project work plan to Jorge Giro, Quality Control Manager, at jorge.giro@phoscrete.com

 

  • The work plan must include:
  1. Project Photos: Visual documentation of the structure or area where the ShotPump will be utilized.
  2. Material Requirements: Detailed list of the materials to be used, ensuring compatibility with the ShotPump.
  3. Rationale: Explanation of why you are using Phoscrete MPC and the ShotPump for this project.

4. Judging Criteria

Winners will be determined by Phoscrete based on:

  • Project Nature: Relevance and impact of the project on public infrastructure.
  • Work Plan Details: Completeness, clarity and feasibility of the submitted plan.
  • Equipment Suitability: Appropriateness of using the ShotPump for the proposed application.
  • Decision Date: Winners will be announced on January 31, 2025.

5. ITD Project Participation

  • Grant recipients agree to allow Phoscrete to document the installation under the AASHTO Bridge Preservation Partnership's Implementation of Technology and Developments (ITD) program.
  • There is no cost to the structure owner for ITD Program participation.
  • Documentation may include independent consultant reports, interviews, and follow-up inspections.
  • The ITD report will be published on the Bridge Preservation Partnership website for the benefit of the bridge preservation community.

6. Installation Guideline

Participant Responsibilities:

  • Provide labor, traffic control, necessary tools, and equipment, including:
  1. Air Compressor: Sufficient capacity to operate the ShotPump.
  2. Mixing Drill: Adequate torque for material preparations.
  3. Concrete Finishing Tools
  • Adhere to all operation guidelines provided by Phoscrete
  • Responsible for refurbishing any mishandled equipment

 

Phoscrete Responsibilities

  • Deliver equipment in working order. The ShotPump may have prior use but will be delivered with a full warranty.
  • Provide up to 3 days of on-site operations training.
  • Not responsible for supervising the participant's personnel.

7. Publicity

  • By participating, applicants consent to the use of their project information and photographs for marketing and promotional purposes by Phoscrete.
  • Participants agree to be featured in case studies, testimonials, and other promotional materials.

8. Winner Notification

Winners will be notified via email by February 5, 2025.

Winners must respond within 7 days of notification to claim their award.

Failure to respond within the specified time may result in forfeiture of the award.

9. Tax Obligations

Government agencies are generally exempt from taxes; however, each agency should verify its own tax status. Phoscrete will provide any necessary documentation upon request.

10. Non-Transferability

Awards are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products/services.

11. Limitation of Liability

Phoscrete is not responsible for any damages, loss, or injury resulting from participation in the grant program or the use of any award.

Participants assume all risks associated with the installation and use of the ShotPump equipment.

12. Force Majeure

Phoscrete reserves the right to cancel or modify the grant program in the event of force majeure or other unforeseen circumstances beyond its control.

13. Privacy

Participant information will be used in accordance with Phoscrete's privacy policy and applicable laws.

14. Disputes

Any disputes arising from this grant program will be resolved under the laws of the State of Florida.

Participants agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida.

15. General Conditions

Phoscrete reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the grant program if any fraud, technical failures, or other factors impair the integrity of the program.

Phoscrete is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the grant program.

All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.

16. Legal Compliance

This grant program is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Phoscrete will comply with all necessary filings and bonding requirements in Florida.
