Product Description
Phoscrete Primer
Phoscrete Primer is a two-part cementitious MPC (Magnesium-Phosphate-Cement) concrete repair mortar composed of magnesium oxide, potassium phosphate, and aggregates (Dry Mix) that must be mixed with pre-measured Phoscrete Primer Activator.
Phoscrete Primer is very rapid hardening with high-early strength gain, allowing fast completion of concrete repairs. It mixes to a putty consistency, is easy to apply by hand as a scrub-coat and is easy to trowel to a ¼ inch (½ cm) thin layer.
Phoscrete Primer is recommended as a pre-treatment when installing Phoscrete Formula 1 (F1) for concrete repairs when the substrate contains reactive aggregates (notably limestone), and in high stress environments when maximum bond strength is desired & is ideal for preparing substrates for vertical, overhead, and horizontal concrete repairs, including expansion joints.
• Above grade and below grade concrete structures.
• Horizontal surfaces: poured/castable applications, including bridge decks and expansion joint nosings.
• Vertical and overhead surfaces: hand packed/trowel applied.
• Rehabilitation of concrete bridge structural elements, including soffits, beams, caps, piers, and columns.
• Rehabilitation of marine structures including seawalls, navigation locks, guide walls, reservoirs, dams, and discharge tunnels.
• Rapid repair of new construction concrete’s defects, notably pre-cast shapes.
• Rapid repair of spalls on concrete pavements and floors.
• Rapid repair of sidewalks, stairs, sills, and culverts.
• Rapid repair of building facades, parking structures and tilt-up walls.
